On December 7, 2019, amendments to the authorised enological practices entered into force. The most important points in practice are:
- The use of CMC in still wines is limited to white wine
- The use of silver chloride is no longer permitted
The OIV is currently examing whether the use of CMC, at least for rosé wines, should be permitted again.
