Rhineland-Palatinate approves acidification for the year 2019. Acidification is an enological process which must be reported to the Rhineland-Palatinate Agricultural Chamber. Acidification must be reported by the second day after completion of the first process at the latest. The notification can also be done en bloc in advance for all acidification.
The extent of the acidification in must and new wine may be a maximum of 1.5 g/l and in wine a further 2.5 g/l.
